Spaces at The Spine is one of the two commercial events venues of the Royal College of Physicians, a unique destination venue in Liverpool, where sustainable practice and technical excellence meet to create world-class events. It offers versatile spaces for hire for conferences, meetings, exhibitions, medical assessments, corporate functions and more.
As a charity, every booking helps to fund many important activities that form part of the RCP’s role in healthcare through advocacy, education and research.
Spaces at The Spine is located in Paddington Village at the heart of the Knowledge Quarter in Liverpool’s City Centre. The address is Royal College of Physicians, The Spine, Liverpool, L7 3FA. The conference centre is located on Floors eleven to thirteen.

Yes. Spaces at the Spine provides in-house catering through our partner, Company of Cooks. In line with the WELL Standard, we offer seasonal and sustainable menus, with options tailored to your event requirements.
The Base café on the lower ground floor of the Spine offers healthy and natural food options, perfect for grab-and-go lunches and informal meetings with colleagues, clients and friends.

The venue has a reception located on the ground floor, with a secure cloakroom. Access is via speedgates and registration.
Yes. Spaces at The Spine offers step-free access, accessible toilets and lifts throughout the venue to support easy movement for wheelchair users between floors and event spaces. Assistive listening technology and speech-to-text services are also available on request. Quiet rooms can be provided for guests with neurodiversity, cognitive impairment, and sensory processing issues. More information is available on our Venue Accessibility page.
Spaces at the Spine holds an Outstanding ranking by BREEAM and is WELL Certified at the Platinum level through the WELL Building Institute. The venue has also won a number of awards and holds a number of certifications, including the Carbon Trust Standard, as part of the Royal College of Physicians.
No. You do not need to attend an event to visit, the Base café is open to the public.
The Base café is open from 07:30 – 16:30 Monday to Wednesday and Friday. It is open from 07:30-19:30 on the last Thursday of the month. The Base café is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Find out what’s on at the Base on our page.
